Those are 3 really different games. Fallout 3 will give you the most playtime, as far as a single-player game. It has no online or multi-player, but it does have a lot of replay value. You could easily play through 3 times with a totally different experience every time. The DLC will be expanding the level cap and adding post-game gameplay, which eliminates 2 of the major flaws. GTA 4 is pretty “classic.” Everyone knows the GTA formula, and 4 does a great job with it. The story is solid, the characters are good. Multi-player is a lot of fun with friends, not so much with strangers. Not a whole lot of replay, but The Lost and Damned is practically a whole new game. If you want a game that’ll let you do pretty much whatever you’d like, go with either of those 2. They’re both easily in my top 5 sandbox games of all time. Fallout 3 is entirely up to you. There is a story, but you can follow it at any pace and in any way you’d like. GTA 4 really limits you to the story for about 1/3 of the game, but after that you can really just go wild. GOW 2 has a decent enough story for a FPS. It’s better then Halo, and has some nice level designs. FPSs aren’t exactly the most varied genre out there, but GOW2 is a good time. Has the best online of the 3 games you’ve listed. It’d be pretty hard to go wrong with any of them? I would say this is my order of preference: 1. Fallout 3 (Most playtime, high replay value, good story) 2. GTA 4 (Good online with friends, entertaining story) 3. GOW 2 (Doesn’t do a lot 1 didn’t do, but still fun)
