THE RED RING OF DEATH! HOW DO U FIX THIS??

ok i got this ….for free….and i already had one and ive herd of the RED RING OF DEATH b4 and this free one had it. Iv herd of the towel trick but haven’t had the chance to try it…..but i also herd that microsoft would fix it 4 free if i pay shipping…..how do i get them to do this??? i was told it was a web site i had to go to but i don’t know what it is……oh and does the towel trick work?? HOW DO I GET THEM TO TAKE IT??? ISENT THERE A WEB SITE U HAVE TO GO TO??

Answer:
^^^^this guy above is trying to break your system!!^^^^ ****READ THIS FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!***** Do not do the towel trick! It is only a temporary fix. It gets the solder holding the detached chip warm enough to make contact but doing it will result in one of two things: 1. It will eventually stop working entirely because heating the system to that degree does massive damage to other components, and or… 2. MS has ways of detecting the “towel trick” and will deny your repair (most of the time the towel trick moistens the inside of your 360 and voids the warranty anyway). You should still be under warranty for 3 red rings (3 year) as long as the previous owners did not open it, or get it wet. Go here https://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/nxe/registerdevice.aspx?step=register to register your 360 with MS (you don’t need proof of purchase ). Then request a repair, but make sure you: Do not print your own label and ship yourself. Opt for MS to send you the label and shipping packaging. MS will try to tell you to print and ship yourself to “save time”, but its just a ploy for them to get out of shipping damages. Using their packaging is the only way to insure the shipping, and is not gentle!!! It only takes 9-16 days usually to get a repair done (round trip). If for some reason your not under warranty go here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTVtO7IhiV4 for a DYI way or if your not that tech savvy tryhttp://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=CZwAz8tXHSY7mFtOKtgeRpa2oApnqokvVvPXMBPX5h_MICAAQASDHmPgFKAJQzJaO3v3_____AWDJvpaN6KSMGKAB57qu-QPIAQGqBBlP0LCva23pFAkZpCzTvQNgvZCMc2_Dc5p5&sig=AGiWqtyTOb96h3J61G6rnQLmOIoetB0aaw&q=http://www.360-pros.com/xbox-360-repair-service.aspx%3Fsrc%3D1. They are cheaper for non-warranty repairs and they use better materials. ALSO IF YOUR UNDER WARRANTY YOU DO NOT PAY ANY SHIPPING! I hope this helps as I have been in this situation a few times. GOOD LUCK!

My 360 wont turn on!! (No rrod either)?

I fell asleep with my off and my plug and play (charge) for my controller connected to my system. I woke up this morning and still heard the fan or something going on the console. So I disconnected it and the fans turned off. So later today I went to turn it on….It wont. I quickly thought rrod. but no. I looked at the power supply and its red. I disconnected it from the wall the plugged it back in. it turned orange, then i went to turn on the console, it turned red again, WTF!!! Anyone please help.. no lights come on the console as i try and turn it on. i have unplugged av cables…still nothing i have taken the hard drive off still nothing haha google doesnt help much in this case, well to me at least NOTE I FELL ASLEEP WITH IT -OFF- but the fan or something was still running I’M PRETTY SURE ITS THE POWER BRICK, I TRIED MY FRIENDS AND IT WORKED, BUT THE THING IS, SHOULD I SEND IT IN, OR BUY ANOTHER??

Answer:
The power supply probably burned out. An easy to test if this is the case is to borrow a friend’s power supply and see if the Xbox will run on that. Otherwise, it is something internal which would require professional repair. Edit: well, since you have diagnosed the issue as the power supply, I would simply replace it. Google results turn up prices ranging from $26 -$40. Repairmen charge an hourly rate that likely would exceed this. That is if it can be repaired at all.

PSP Reviews and Impressions on Cnet Internet Site

Games for PSP

It is a simple fact that no matter how far science and technology has taken the world, opinion is what drives and shapes it. Unless they are completely mindless, every single person has an opinion. It is this opinion that can make or break a product. Take for example the Sony Playstation Portable system. PSP reviews are what potential buyers read up on before they plunk down a wad of cash or plastic to purchase the gaming console. Buyers want to know if the PSP is going to be worth the investment. Is it? You have to decide that after reading the reviews.

If you were to google PSP reviews, you would be given hundreds of listings where the PSP was debated. Most of the reviews come from other buyers who have purchased the new Playstation Portable and have commented on its assets, as well as its deficits. The best advice for reading and sorting through all of the reviews and discussions is to find a reliable website or company that has an unbiased opinion.

One great place you can go to find PSP reviews is Cnet.com. Cnet is an absolutely fantastic website designed with the technologically and computer savvy consumer in mind. Not only do they offer reviews on such popular gaming systems as the Sony Playstation Portable, but also offer technical help as well with computers and gaming consoles. What was their rating of the PSP system? Cnet gave it 8.1 out of 10.

Cnet gave a positive review of the graphics and gaming abilities of the Sony PSP Playstation Portable. But, they found that the multimedia functions left a lot to be desired. The problem, as stated by the reviewer, was the impossibly long load times and the expensive memory cards. Cnet’s members gave the PSP a score of 7.8 out of 10. Members cited problems with the gaming discs, size, battery life and audio as key factors in their less than stellar praise of Sony’s latest endeavor. But keep in mind that unlike professional reviews, personal reviews can be based on preference for another gaming system.

It never hurts to have other gamers’ opinions and PSP reviews before you decide to buy a new system or game. Many players offer detailed reviews and complaints that they may have had with the systems lag time or the user friendly controls. It is also a great place to turn to if you are looking into purchasing a new game. Fellow gamers can tell you how hard or difficult a particular game actually is before you go out and make the purchase.

It is difficult conceive of a time when video game were not a part of today’s culture. The Xbox, Playstation and the Nintendo are all three very popular gaming systems. Sony accomidated their fans with the advent of the Playstation Portable, or the PSP and the Playstation 3. Not only can the Playstation 3 play games but it also has the ability to play movies as well. Kids and adults can often find themselves eagerly craving the next game release.
