There’s no doubt that the Wii is an incredibly popular game system that offers a unique method of gameplay.  It’s no wonder there are so many people want to burn wii games as backups to be sure they have a backup in case the original gets damaged. 

Your usual disc copying software can’t make copies of your Wii discs the same way you’d burn a CD.  Roxio, Nero, and other popular burning softwares just can’t copy these disks.  That’s because there’s copyright guards on the games that prevents your computer from being able to make sense of it.

Of course, like most copy protection, it didn’t take long for someone to come up with a workaround.  There is now software available that can get past the guards that comes on a Wii game.

After you install this type of program, producing a copy of the disc is relatively easy – your computer is suddenly able to make sense of the data on the game disc.  This is true for games on just about any other game system, including the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii.

Making a copy of a Wii game is a snap.  You pop in insert a game disc, press a button and your computer will make an “image” of the game data on your hard drive.  Once you have this disk image on your hard drive, you just put in a blank DVD or CD into the drive, then instruct the program to copy the image to it.

The video game copying softwares that are now available make it possible to copy Wii games without having to do anything but click a few buttons. Once you have found and installed a program to help you break the copyright guards, the program will copy the data on your game as an image on your hard drive.  Once you have this disk image on your hard drive, all you need to do is throw in a blank disc into your disc drive, then instruct the program to copy the game onto the disc.
