WoW Blizzard Entertainment’s 4th game in it’s , is played by millions of people world wide. It is what is known as a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game.

A main aspect of World of Warcraft is leveling up your character.

You can level up your character from level 1 to 60 in the orginal game, level 70 with The Burning Crusade expansion and know level 80 with the release of Wrath of the Lich King in late 2008

What makes World of Warcraft so attractive is that you get to connect with millons of players just like yourself and interact on a daily basis. You can either fight or cooperate, the choice if often yours. When you start with Warcraft of Warcraft you have to decide which type of server you would like to connect to there are four types of WoW servers.

If you are just looking for a fun game then you should stick with either normal (PVE) or RP servers if however you would like a greater challenge jump into a PVP server we must defend yourself against every other player whenever you see them this can be both very stressful but very very exciting. Don’t worry though if you start on a PVP server there are areas where you will be very safe while you build your experience before venturing out to go questing to find gold and unique items.

PvP Servers, where you always have to defend yourself.
* Normal role playing servers – This is where you deep play your toon. E.G if you are a Gnome you talk and act like a Gnome when chatting to other players
* RP — PDP servers — you do deep play and must defend yourself
* Normal servers — you don’t deep play and you don’t need to defend yourself unless you turn PVP on manually these also known as PVE servers.

Once you’ve found your ideal server, and keep in mind you can create multiple characters on any server, it is time for it you to decide on your faction. There are two factions: Alliance and Horde. In the original World of Warcraft game each faction has four different races to choose from once you choose your faction you cannot change once you’re in the game you will need to create a new character to play on the other faction.

Alliance faction is made up of:

* Humans
* Gnomes
* Dwarves
* Night Elf
* Draenei (The Burning Crusade)

The Horde faction is made up of:

* Orc
* Tauren
* Troll
* Undead
* Blood Elves (The Buring Crusade)

Since the release of the original World of Warcraft there have been two expansion packs that add in additional races, classes and professions, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.

There is a capital city for each faction and specific lands that belong to it, these are places you cna feel very sade in while playing on a PvP server. It is in these capital cities and lands that you’ll find other faction players going about questing and looking for gold and it is these players you can also assist in the more difficult quests in dungeons, instances and raids.
