Is this insensitive………..?
To take a photo of a cemetery. I live near a small cemetery that you can see from the street. I thought it would make an interesting photo but I am unsure if this is a no-no. If i were to take the shot i had in mind i wouldnt get names on the headstones into the shot. Opinions? That was uncalled for, Elvis.
Answer:
It should be perfectly fine. Many larger cemeteries even have photo contests with prizes. Here is a link to a cemetery with an annual contest: http://www.woodlandcemetery.org/ Click on the 2008 photo contest link. The photos are great. I’m not aware of any doctrine in Christianity, Islam or Judaism that frowns on photos of graves or gravestones, although I think all would be unhappy if the photos were put to tawdry or tasteless use. I would never say there isn’t some sect somewhere that dislikes it, but the mainstream faiths have no problem. If the cemetery is open to the public you should have no problems. If there are posted hours, adhere to them. If it is a private cemetery, go to the office and ask permission. If there is no office, look for a sign with contact info. Even if it is a private cemtery, it is perfectly legal to make any pictures you wish from a public right-of-way outside the grounds. If it is publicly owned — by the city or county, for example — you should be able to come and go as you please within the hours the cemetery is open. There really is no problem with the epitaphs in the photos as long as you are not using the photos for commercial purposes such as advertising. I would avoid taking photos of graveside services or cemetery workers handling a burial. It’s not illegal, but it is insensitive. Most journalists avoid these things unless there is an overwhelming reason to intrude. Even then, it has to be handled carefully. Make your pictures and have a good time. Tip: go in the early morning or late in the day when the light is at a low, dramatic angle. Photos taken with the sun high overhead tend to be flat and uninteresting.
Xbox 360 smudging games?
I just purchased an xbox 360 a few days ago, I put a clean scratch/smudge free game in and a few minutes later the “game unreadable” message pops onto the screen. When I examine the game there is an oily smudge near the center circle of the disc. I have tried multiple games and get the exact same smudge on every disc. Has anyone else experienced this, do you think it could be oil in the gears? Any thoughts on how to fix? I have tried Ghostbusters, Viva Pinata, Jedi Outcast, Lego Indy Jones…and about 5 others. Luckily its not scratching the discs whatsoever, just some greasy smudges. I think ill prob exchange the box.

If I put my blackberry sim into an iphone 3g would I get a huge bill at the end of the month?
I have a blackberry curve 8310 and I will put the sim card into an iphone 3g on O2 the same carrier as the iphone so I won’t need to unlock. Would I have a huge bill?
Answer:
You wouldn’t receive a huge bill unless you used a ton of internet (data) that you aren’t currently paying for… I don’t believe the carrier can tell that you’re using an iPhone just by putting your SIM in it. You should be fine, just watch out for how much time you spend on the internet! If you don’t have an unlimited data plan I mean.
